All Saints Day

All Saints Day - All Saints Day is traditionally celebrated on Nov. 1st in the Western church and on the first Sunday after Pentecost in Eastern Christianity, in honor of all saints. It is remembered as of the Communion of Saints. It is believed that all of God’s people on heaven and earth, and in the state of purification, are united in a communion. Many parents take time to educate their children about the holy men and women who have become saints.

Christians remember all of those who have gone before and whose souls are now live in eternity in union with God.

Despite the current crucial economic times, Many people on All Saints Day is celebrating by having a family picnic on cemeteries and memorial parks. They set aside food for their loved ones who are gone to express that they are still part of the family.
