Celebrity items and Christmas getaway deals on sale at the PICC Forum Tent in Noel Discovery Bazaar

For the benefit of GMAKF’s Kapuso School Development Project

GMA Kapuso Foundation (GMAKF), one of the country’s most trusted socio-civic organizations, preps up for the Yuletide Season as it opens its Ogie & Regine’s Celebrity Ukay-Ukay Christmas sale at the Noel Discovery Bazaar to be held at the PICC Forum Tent beginning December 9, Friday. The 10-day fair features Christmas getaway deals and a number of pre-loved items from various Kapuso stars.

The opening ceremony will be attended by some of the most sought after Kapuso stars today led by singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid, Katrina Halili, Aljur Abrenica, Francheska Farr, R&B Prince JayR, and tween stars Louise delos Reyes, Bea Binene and Derrick Monasterio.

Other Kapuso artists, namely, Ms. World First Runner Up Gwendolyn Ruias; primetime princesses Mona Louise Rey, Barbara Miguel, and Kylie Ocampo of Munting Heredera; Protégé contenders; Survivor Philippines Season 4 castaways Maey and Betong, Carlo Gonzales, Arthur Solinap, Chuckie Dreyfus, Isabel Granada, Stef Prescott, Gino dela Peña, and more, will likewise grace the event.
To be auctioned live at the event are Kris Aquino’s blue top, Regine Velasquez’s black gown, Lorna Tolentino’s formal gown with shawl, Bianca King’s cocktail dress, Luanne Dy’s shoes, and more.

The event seals the Foundation’s yearlong efforts to drive funds for the benefit of the Kapuso School Development (KSD) project. KSD is GMAKF’s long-running project to foster integral education by providing students of underprivileged schools with decent and functional classrooms. The project also promotes environmentalism in the communities through tree- planting activities within school premises.

This is the Foundation’s most concrete response to the pressing lack of classrooms in the country, which according to the Department of Education (DepED), now numbers more than 114,000.

Since 2003, the Foundation has already built almost 300 classrooms from the poorest and remotest areas across the country. In 2009 alone, GMAKF built or rehabilitated 89 classrooms in areas badly hit by super typhoons Ondoy and Pepeng.

This 2011, GMAKF, through aggressive efforts, already raised more than P4.8 million to fund KSD’s long-term project of repairing and building classrooms. The most recent beneficiary was Adiangao High School in San Jose, Camarines Sur, which was given a three-classroom school building.

Don’t miss the chance to own celebrities’ pre-loved items and enjoy Christmas shopping at the Noel Discovery Bazaar at the PICC Forum Tent. The fair runs December 9 to 18 from 11am to 9pm on weekdays; 11am to 10pm on weekends.
