Shades Of Hollywood Action Traced In 'Hitman'

MANILA, Philippines — Cesar Montano’s latest movie “Hitman,” a co-production between CM Films and Viva Films opening today in local theaters, is different from the usual local action kinds, said Cesar.

“It’s different in that walang masyadong barilan at mga kotseng sumasabog dito. Kakaibang action movie ito, maraming twists,” Cesar described “Hitman,” which he also directed. He wrote the story in collaboration with Willie Laconsay.

Cesar plays the title role. “Hitman ako dito, a hired killer trying to change pero yong sistema hindi pumayag. And because of the conflicts and the twists, hindi mo ito iiwanan pag pinanood mo gaya ng ‘Collateral’ ni Tom Cruise and the movie ‘Unknown.’ You can’t afford to miss out on a single scene.”

He also plans to enter “Hitman” in international film festivals.

The story revolves around a man seeking revenge for the brutal death of his family committed by the very people who employed him to kill. The story happens in just 48 hours.

In “Hitman,” Cesar is working with Sam Pinto, Phillip Salvador and Mark Herras for the first time.
