Pattinson ready to meet with Stewart?

Robert Pattinson is keen on a face-to-face meeting with girlfriend Kristen Stewart to try and repair their three-year relationship following an "emotional" telephone call.

The 26-year-old actor was left devastated last month when his girlfriend admitted to cheating on him with married director Rupert Sanders but friends say he now believes her infidelity was just a "moment of stupidity" and he is keen on a face-to-face meeting to try and repair their three-year relationship following an "emotional" telephone call.

A source said: "They talked [on the phone] for about an hour -- it was very emotional...

"Kristen begged to meet face-to-face so they could talk. It was obvious she was getting through to Rob and he has agreed to see her.

"Even though she made a horrendous mistake, Rob can't just switch off his feelings. He was madly in love with her and I think believes that it was a moment of stupidity, not a long, drawn-out affair and it'd never happen again.

"In Rob's eyes, Kristen was seduced and she's clearly not just sorry but completely destroyed by what she's done."

However, if the "Cosmopolis" star does agree to making another go of their relationship, he wants to establish some "ground rules" with Stewart.

The source continued to LOOK magazine: "If Rob decides to take her back, he'll have some ground rules.

"Kristen would have to spend more time in his hometown of London. He also would want them to adopt the Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt way of working -- where they take it in turns to do a film so they can be around for time together."

Best friend's help

The 22-year-old actress, determined to rekindle her relationship with Pattinson, also asked her "On The Road" co-star Tom Sturridge, who has known Pattinson for years, to help her.

A friend told HollywoodLife.com: “Kristen is really stressed out and nervous about making her first public appearance at the upcoming Toronto Film Festival. But it’s not the premiere that she is worried about, it’s her pending conversation with her ‘On The Road’ co-star Tom Sturridge.

“She wants to have a private conversation with Tom and try and convince him how sorry she is and how she wants Rob back. She is more concerned with her conversation with Tom than with the premiere of ‘On The Road’. The only thing that matters to her right now is getting Rob back and she knows the way to get to Rob is through his best friends.”

Stewart is also reportedly planning to ask Sturridge’s fiancee Sienna Miller for advice and wants to assure the couple she will never hurt Pattinson again.

The insider added: “She also wants to have a heart to heart talk with Tom’s fiancee Sienna Miller. She wants both Tom and Sienna to know that she never meant to hurt Rob and that she is not an evil person. She is hoping and praying that Tom and Sienna will understand and forgive her. And that they will help her win Rob back!”

'Have fun'

Meanwhile, Katy Perry is encouraging Pattinson to “go out and have fun” following his split with Stewart.

A source told HollywoodLife.com: “Last Thursday night (August 23), Katy and Rob met up at the Soho House in West Hollywood for a bite to eat. They are close friends and can just be themselves when they are with each other.

“Katy has been trying to be as supportive as she can for Rob. She understands what he’s going through and wants to help him. Katy has been urging Rob to go out and be silly and have fun!”

Although Perry’s ex-boyfriend John Mayer was also at the hotspot on the same night, they avoided an awkward encounter.

The source added: “Katy only stayed for about an hour and lucky for her because John Mayer ended up showing up to the Soho House about an hour later and was flirting with some girls. Rob left about 15 minutes after John arrived. The two did not interact.” -- Bang Showbiz
