MANILA, Philippines - Semiconductor assembler Cirtek Holdings Philippines Corp. has entered into a memorandum of understanding to manufacture test boards for Japanese semiconductor design firm Sony LSI Design Inc.
In a disclosure to the stock exchange on Monday, Cirtek said under the MOU, it will manufacture and sell test boards, while Sony LSI will provide marketing, sales support, R&D and design and cost down consulting.
Cirtek said it also entered into an agreement with Sony LSI for the sales and purchases of Sony LSI products.
Sony LSI Design is an affiliate of Japanese electronics giant Sony Corp.
Owned by businessman Jerry Liu, Cirtek Holdings is an independent complete solution provider for subcontract manufacturing of semiconductor devices. It provides turnkey solutions that include package design and development, wafer probing, wafer back grinding assembly and packaging, final testing of semiconductor devices and delivery and shipment to its customers.source: abs-cbnnews.com
