MANILA, Philippines – Veteran composer Vehnee Saturno has been robbed of P49,000 in his own home in Quezon City.
According to Saturno’s wife Geraldine, it is possible that it was their househelp who stole the money.
Geraldine said she informed her husband that she will be gone in the afternoon for a meeting and that only the househelp were left with him at home.
When she returned home, she was surprised to learn that the maid's room was already empty.
“Kasi kahapon nung umaga pa lang nagsabi ako sa asawa ko na may meeting ako ng afternoon at yung dalawang maid yung kasama niya. Pag-uwi ko, hinahanap ko 'yung dalawang maid tapos sinalubong ako ng guard ko. Binibigay sa akin 'yung susi ng bahay namin, lumabas daw. Sabi ko bigay mo sa kanila kasi may susi ako. So nagtataka ako,” she said.
“Binukasan namin 'yung kuwarto, wala na 'yung gamit nila. Wala na 'yung mga damit nila tapos yung mga litrato nung maid wala na,” she added.
Geraldine and Saturno then immediately checked their money and discovered that their savings were missing as well.
Gerladine said she already filed a complaint against their househelp at the Quezon City Police Precinct 7.
