Angel admits 'plans' with Phil

MANILA, Philippines -- For the first time, Angel Locsin and Phil Younghusband addressed together questions on possibly tying the knot in the near future.

The celebrity couple arrived together at the 38th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) Awards Night held Thursday at the Meralco Theater in Ortigas.

The Kapamilya actress stars in one of the competing entries in the film fest, the family drama "One More Try."

Shortly before the awarding ceremony, entertainment media at the event asked Locsin and the Philippine football team player on whether they are now planning their wedding.

"Wala pa, plans pa lang, pero walang wedding," Locsin said.

The 27-year-old actress and the 25-year-old star striker have been officially a couple since May this year.

In earlier interviews, Younghusband referred to Locsin as his "true love," and expressed his intention of "having a future with Angel."

Referring to early buzz favoring her to win the Best Actress award -- Nora Aunor was given the honor for her "Thy Womb" portrayal later that night -- Locsin admitted to being nervous, "[pero] kasama ko naman si Phil."

"Sabi ko sa kanya siya naman ang nagbibigay sa 'kin ng luck," the actress said.

"Pero ma-nominate ka lang kasama nila, at makagawa ka ng pelikula na sobrang overwhelming 'yung response ng mga tao, sobrang 'yun palang nagpapasalamat na ako dun eh," she added.

Amid their packed schedule, the couple managed to spend Christmas Day together.

"December 24, I was with my sister, my brother, and then 25th I was with Angel, so we got to spend Christmas together," Younghusband said. "Masaya, it's always happy with Angel."
