Kingston unveils 1-terabyte USB flash drive
MANILA, Philippines – During this year’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Kingston unveiled a 1-terabyte USB flash drive, which is said to be the first in the world.
The DataTraveler HyperX Predator flash drive boasts of 1 TB or 1,024 GB of storage. It can read files at 250 MB per second, and write them at 160 MB per second, according to a report from the International Business Times.
Kingston’s newest product is three inches long, one inch wide and half an inch deep, the report added.
The 1 TB USB flash drive is expected to hit stores within the first quarter of 2013, along with a smaller 512 GB model. The prices of the two items have yet to be announced.
