Friday is the hottest day of the year in Metro Manila so far, according to state weather bureau PAGASA.
Metro Manila temperature scorched at 36.2°C at 3 p.m. By 3:55 p.m., PAGASA said Metro Manila temperature shot up to 36.6°C.
Friday’s temperature surpassed Tuesday’s record of 36.1°C.
PAGASA earlier said weather was expected to cool down heading towards the weekend due to a low pressure area (LPA), but it dissipated as it entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
The weather bureau, however, noted that rains may still be expected over Mindanao.
