Durant leads Thunder past Nuggets

Thunder 115, Nuggets 113

Forward Kevin Durant scored 38 points, leading the Oklahoma City Thunder to a victory over the Denver Nuggets.

Durant drained a three-pointer to snap a 105-105 tie with 1:41 remaining and the Thunder (7-3) clinched the game at the free throw line.

Westbrook contributed 30 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists for Oklahoma City while Ty Lawson led Denver (4-6) with 29 points and eight assists.

Warriors 98, Jazz 87

Guard Steph Curry scored 22 points and dished out eight assists before leaving after hitting his head hard on the court in the fourth quarter of the Golden State Warriors' victory over the Utah Jazz.

Curry was sprawled on the court after tripping when Jazz forward Marvin Williams inadvertently fell onto him. He walked off the court and did not return for the final 8:49.

Guard Gordon Hayward scored 18 points with six rebounds, but the Jazz (1-11) fell for the third consecutive game after picking up their only win last Wednesday.

Mavericks 97, 76ers 94

Behind a big second half from guard Monta Ellis, the Dallas Mavericks finally subdued the scrappy but ultimately undermanned Philadelphia 76ers.

Philadelphia held the lead for nearly all of the first three quarters. However, Ellis had 13 points in the third quarter and finished with 24 points and 10 assists.

The Sixers, who again played without injured rookie point guard Michael Carter-Williams, fell to 5-7. They are 1-5 after a 4-2 start.
