The results were announced by Mister International Philippines on its official Facebook page.
Wagas' top 5 finish, according to the pageant's local franchise licensee, is the highest finish of the Philippines in the international competition.
The pageant, which promotes the values of health and leadership among young men, was created by the Mister Singapore Organization in 2006 and has since been held annually in Asian territories.
The fourth runner-up feat of Wagas in Mister International 2013 follows several other successes of Filipinos in international pageants this year, including Megan Young's Miss World win, Mutya Datul's Miss Supranational win, and Ariella Arida's Miss Universe 3rd runner-up finish.
Two more major international pageants are set to be held in December -- Miss Earth and Miss International, where Filipinas Angelee delos Reyes and Bea Rose Santiago will compete, respectively.
