This was the simple reply of Kathryn Bernardo’s mother when asked if her daughter and Daniel Padilla have already taken their relationship to the next level.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News on Tuesday, Bernardo’s mother, who is fondly called as Mommy Min in showbiz circles, said she is not the type to dictate to her daughter what she can or cannot do when it comes to her personal life.
“Alam naman nila kung ano 'yung dapat lang talaga, kung saan muna sila lulugar. Kaya nga ako parati nandito sa tabi nila para i-remind sila. Mabait naman silang dalawa. Kaya tiis-tiis na lang muna,” she said.
Now that Bernardo is turning 18 next month, will she be allowed to have a boyfriend?
“Actually up to now naman sinasabi ko sa kanila na kahit naman ngayon, kung mag-boyfriend talaga na legal, okay lang sa akin. Hindi ako 'yung nagse-set ng date na sa ganito ka lang puwede mag-boyfriend. As long as kaya mo i-handle ang sarili mo, okay lang sa akin,” she said.
Last January, both Padilla and Bernardo admitted that they are exclusively seeing each other.
On Tuesday, Mommy Min revealed that the relationship between the Kapamilya teen stars is getting stronger.
“Getting stronger [ang relationship nila]. Sana up to the last, huwag sila magkahiwalay ng malungkot. So far, okay sila,” she said.
Barnardo and Padilla are currently busy promoting the finale of their series “Got to Believe.”
After that, the two will move to the big screen for the movie adaptation of the book "She's Dating the Gangster," still under the direction of Cathy Garcia Molina.
