Jasmine admits talking to Anne, Sam Concepcion

MANILA – Jasmine Curtis-Smith admitted talking to rumored boyfriend Sam Concepcion and sister Anne Curtis after the two celebrities' alleged confrontation at Vice Ganda’s birthday party.

In an interview with the Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP), Jasmine said she heard from both sides and that they were “very open and very honest” with her.

“I want to understand everyone that was involved, that’s all. Okay naman, they’re both very open and very honest to me,” she said.

“Again, I’m not in the position to talk, as much as people think that I’m the one who can clear this issue off or save people’s name. I don’t have the right because I don’t know what other’s really, truly, deeply feeling for what they went through that evening,” she stressed.

The article about the confrontation, which was similarly published on PEP last April 1, cited a "source" who "got the details from a party guest at the celebration."

PEP quoted the source as saying that Curtis "drank at the party," and that the actress told Concepcion: "Why are you here? Who invited you? You are not classy enough to be here!"

Curtis, the report added, then allegedly asked Concepcion: "Ba't mo niloloko ang kapatid ko?"

On that same day, the “Dyesebel” actress immediately posted her statement about the allegations on Instagram and denied that such words were spoken.

When asked if it is true that she and her sister had a misunderstanding because of what supposedly happened, Jasmine said: “It’s pretty silly. Well, people will talk eh. Gano’n talaga. Kung ano mang mahanap nilang lusot para magawan sila ng intriga. So okay. Bahala kayo diyan.”

Meanwhile, Jasmine said she appreciates the "Dyesebel" star for saying she will protect her at all cost.

“Of course, it’s a very natural feeling for sisters to want to protect her little sister. There’s no surprise there. I’m thankful that she’s willing to be judged for protecting me. And I love her. You know, people can judge all they want, but she’s an open book,” she said.
