The Nike Kobe 9 EM Philippines was created by Filipino-American, Eric Godo.
The color for the banig pattern of the shoe was inspired by painted barangay courts and serves as a reminder of where the Pinoy's love of basketball began.
The clever part of the shoe is its sole where there is an imprint of "tsinelas", or slippers, which represents how Filipinos will play basketball in any type of footwear.
The Kobes will be released on May 23 for $180.
