Pacquiao, Marcos are PH's richest congressmen
MANILA - The House of Representatives has released the statements of assets, liabilities, and net worth (SALNs) of its members.
People's Champ and Sarangani Rep. Manny Pacquiao is the lone billionaire in the chamber. He declared a net worth of P1,345,499,575.
Former First Lady and now Ilocos Norte Rep. Imelda Marcos came in the second richest with a net worth of P922,800,000, followed by Speaker Feliciano Belmonte Jr. (P819,749,339).
Marcos' nephew, Leyte 1st District Rep. Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez, is also among the top 10 richest lawmakers in the House of Representatives. He declared a net worth of P475,002,017.59.
Of the top 10 "poorest" congressmen, eight are party-list representatives.
