NBA's Oden charged for allegedly punching GF


Former Miami Heat player Greg Oden was charged Monday by Indiana prosecutors with felony battery for allegedly punching his ex-girlfriend in the face during a fight.

Oden's felony offense carries a penalty of one to six years behind bars.

Cleveland Cavaliers guard/forward Andrew Wiggins told Kansas coach Bill Self that he welcomes a trade that will send him to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Wiggins, the No. 1 pick in this year's draft, is a key piece in the proposed Kevin Love deal.

The Cleveland Cavaliers signed free agent center Alex Kirk.

Kirk, 7-feet and 245 pounds, went undrafted this year out of New Mexico. He averaged 10.0 points on 48.8 percent shooting, 6.8 rebounds and 1.7 blocks in 25.3 minutes per game over his collegiate career.
