A parodic holiday created in 1995 by John Baur (Ol' Chumbucket) and Mark Summers (Cap'n Slappy), it was made famous by humor columnist Dave Barry. The holiday celebrates all things pirate and encourages observers to role-play as pirates in their daily activities. DriveThruRPG is hosting several sales in celebration of the holiday.
