Mister International 2014 moved to November
MANILA – The Mister International 2014 pageant, which was initially scheduled this month in Seoul, South Korea, has been moved to November.
The producer of the pageant, Mister Singapore Organization, said Mister International 2014 has been postponed to November 29 after four key personnel of the host committee in South Korea were involved in a traffic accident in late September.
It said Jung-Hoon Jun, chairman of the pageant’s host committee, “is not confident to conduct the pageant single-handedly.”
“We have decided to postpone the pageant until a new committee has been formed or at least two of the personnel are well enough to work,” Mister Singapore Organization said in a statement posted on the Facebook page of Mister International.
“We sincerely seek your kind understanding and apologize for any inconvenience caused as this situation is totally unexpected and beyond our control,” it added.
Hunk cop Mariano Flormata Jr. is set to represent the Philippines in Mister International 2014. Flormata, who joined the pageant as Neil Perez, hopes to promote the healthy lifestyle of police officers.
Another pageant, Miss Intercontinental 2014, has also been postponed. The Philippines’ representative to the pageant, Kris Tiffany Janson, said organizers are still looking for a venue and date following security issues in Jordan.
