Celtics deal Sixers 11th straight loss

Brandon Bass scored 23 points off the bench as Boston snapped a three-game losing streak by beating winless Philadelphia.

Forward Jared Sullinger added 22 points, 11 coming in the last 5:55, for Boston. He also had nine rebounds.

Guard Tony Wroten had 21 points to lead Philadelphia (0-11).

It is the team's worst start since the 76ers lost their first 15 games in 1972-73. They went 9-73 that season, the worst full-season record in the NBA.

Suns 88, Pistons 86


Eric Bledsoe made the go-ahead layup and scored a team-high 18 points as Phoenix escaped with a win over Detroit.

Phoenix gave up nine unanswered points in the final two minutes to squander an eight-point lead before shooting guard Bledsoe's basket with 28.7 seconds left.

Reserve forward P.J. Tucker had 16 points while guards Gerald Green and Goran Dragic added 12 apiece for the Suns.

Mavericks 105, Wizards 102


Guard Monta Ellis scored 24 of his 34 points in the first half as Dallas handed Washington their first home loss of the season.

Forward Brandan Wright and guard J.J. Barea both scored 14 points for the Mavericks. Dallas forward Dirk Nowitzki had an injury scare but finished the game and scored 13 points.

Bradley Beal, the Wizards' leading scorer in the playoffs last season, scored 21 points in 26 minutes in his season debut.

Beal underwent left wrist surgery on Oct. 12 after sustaining an injury against the Hornets during Washington's third pre-season game.
