Messi, Ronaldo race to history

Lionel Messi has tied Raul's career Champions League goals record by scoring his 71st goal during Barcelona's 2-0 Group F win at Ajax.

But his rival Cristiano Ronaldo is not far behind as the Real Madrid star already has 70 Champions League goals under his name.

Football commentator Mikee Carreon said football fans are lucky to have two superstars in their lifetime.

"Sobrang lucky tayong mga fans na we get to see both players in this lifetime. Usually isa lang ang umaangat. In the 80's si Maradona, in the 70's si Pele lang. Now we got these two players, they're really pushing each other to the limit," said Carreon in an interview on The Score.

During Thursday's episode of the show, Carreon also discussed the recent developments in the Champions League. -- ABS-CBN Sport+Action, The Score, Nov. 6, 2014
