"You mean people will only see my dinner on ONE form of social media?" quipped one user.
Instagram, meanwhile, acknowledged the outage on Twitter. "We're aware of an outage affecting Instagram and are working on a fix. Thank you for your patience," Instagram said.
On 2014, Facebook experienced similar brief outages during the months of June and August.
