In an article published by entertainment site Pep on Tuesday, Nievera was quoted as saying some people are probably just “putting some seasoning once again.”
“Is that for real? You guys may have the wrong guy. I’m almost sure you have the wrong guy. Ang alam ko, hindi siya [Chavit]. I know they’re very good friends. They’ve always been good friends,” he said.
Asked if he has met any of Fernandez’s suitors, Nievera said: “I’ve met a lot of Pops’s male friends. I don’t know which of them is the one. But Pops is very available.”
The singer then went on to praise his former wife, calling her gorgeous.
“She’s gorgeous. She’s always been gorgeous. I like her then, I like her now,” he said.
Although they have been separated for years, Nievera and Fernandez have maintained a good relationship. They have two sons, Ram and Robin.
