Padilla is already 19 and is widely rumored to be in a relationship with leading lady Kathryn Bernardo.
"Hindi ako para sumagot noon. Pero I would like to think, yes," Estrada said on Thursday.
Estrada pointed out that she disciplined her son and guided him, even when it comes to sensitive topics like pre-marital sex.
While saying that they are "open" with each other, Estrada also admitted that Padilla would get embarrassed.
"Sinasabi ko ang totoo na, 'Ang panandaliang kaligayahan ay habang buhay na pagsisisihan mo. So lagi kang mag-iingat. 'Ma, ano ba yan?' Tapos tatakbo na 'yan. Ayaw niya yung ganung usapan," she said at the press conference for ABS-CBN's newest show "Your Face Sounds Familiar," which is set to debut on March 14.
Estrada is among the celebrity contestants in the game show.
"But I know my son very well," Estrada said. "Hindi siya santo. Pero ako sinasabi ko he is very conservative."
Estrada also doesn't believe that her son "inherited" the playboy image of Padilla's uncle, action star Robin Padilla.
"Lahat naman ng lalaki ay mahilig sa magagandang babae, hindi ba? So wala po sa apelyido 'yan. Nagkataon lang na nakikita natin sa pelikula at naisusulat dahil sila nga nasa pinilakang tabing, sila ang napag-uusapan. Pero hindi lang Padilla, ang dami natin diyan," she said.
