The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said Intensity V was felt in Surigao City; Siargao Island; Talacogon, Agusan del Sur; and Carrascal, Surigao del Sur.
Meanwhile, Intensity IV was felt in Dinagat Island; Intensity III in San Juan, Southern Leyte; Tacloban, Leyte; Palo, Leyte; and Lapu-lapu City.
Intensity II was felt in Bislig, Surigao del Sur; Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur; and Davao City.
Damage is not expected from the quake, Phivolcs said, but aftershocks are likely.
