Pokemon Go helps teen with autism make friends
Video game Pokémon Go might be doing more for people than helping them get off the couch.
That's as a 17-year old autism patient said the hit virtual reality game is helping him feel more comfortable with socializing.
William Harmon said he doesn't have many friends because he doesn't know how to start a conversation, but he now finds it easier to make friends--thanks to Pikachu and friends who appear via augmented reality.
But an expert emphasized that parental or professional help is still needed to help autistic patients develop social skills.
