LOOK: Miss Earth candidates try lechon

ILIGAN CITY - A few days into the coronation night, several Miss Earth 2016 candidates chose to ignore their diet regimen and take a taste of the savory Iligan lechon.

Ten Miss Earth candidates visited the National Power Corporation's Natures Park and Maria Cristina Falls in Iligan City on Tuesday morning.

The NPC compound had been closed to tourists since September following the deadly Davao City blast.

The Miss Earth candidates who visited Iligan were the representatives from Chinese Taipei, Zimbabwe, Chile, Pakistan, England, Belize, Romania, Hungary, Iraq and Denmark.

A total of 84 candidates from different countries and territories will compete during the 2016 Miss Earth Pageant on October 29.
