Xia's Taylor Swift impersonation makes global headlines

MANILA -- Xia Vigor's impersonation of pop star Taylor Swift in Sunday's "Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids" has gone viral online and has even reached a few foreign news outlets.

The Huffington Post featured Vigor's cover of "You Belong With Me" and described it as "eerily spot-on."

British tabloid Metro also picked up Vigor's performance and praised the child actress for nailing Swift's "divaish finger wagging," eye rolls, and hair whips.

New York-based lifestyle website Refinery29, meanwhile, said Vigor could be Swift's "long-lost sister."

Vigor placed third during the second episode of "Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids," tied with Justin Alva, who transformed into Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine. Elha Nympha was the winner.

However, it was Vigor's video that earned the second highest number of views on YouTube among the performances from last weekend, behind only Awra Briguela's impersonation of Daniel Padilla.

It even drew a reaction from popular American blogger and gossip columnist Perez Hilton.

Vigor first made a name for herself for winning the celebrity impersonation contest of "It's Showtime" back in 2015 as Selena Gomez. She is currently part of the morning series "Langit Lupa."
