JC Santos no longer part of Kim Chiu's upcoming movie

MANILA – Kapamilya actor JC Santos confirmed that he is no longer part of “Ghost Bride,” the upcoming movie of Kim Chiu and Matteo Guidicelli.

Speaking to entertainment site PEP, Santos said he doesn’t know why he was removed from the project, which is under the direction of filmmaker Chito Roño.

“'Di ko alam kung anong nangyari. Hindi ko rin alam ano nangyari doon. Hindi rin naman nasabi sa 'kin na hindi na ako kasali," he said.

Asked if he feels bad abou it, he said: "Hindi naman masama 'yung loob ko kasi 'yun nga, sanay na ako sa kung hindi ka talaga puwede sa role, hindi talaga."

Back in February, Santos even attended the film’s story conference along with Chiu, Guidicelli and the other members of the cast.

At that time, Santos shared how excited he was to be given a big project such as “Ghost Bride.”

“Sobrang saya kasi wala naman akong ine-expect. Akala ko pagkatapos ng ‘Till I Met You,’ babalik na ako sa theater. And then may offer ang Star Cinema sa akin na sobrang wow. It’s very heartwarming naman na mabigyan pa rin ako ng pagkakataon para makapag-share ng talent,” he said at the time.

While he is no longer part of the Star Cinema movie, Santos is the lead actor in the upcoming film “100 Tula Para Kay Stella” opposite Bela Padilla.

The movie is one of the films, which will be shown during the inaugural Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino later this month.
