MANILA - Google highlighted this year’s trending gadgets in the Philippines in its annual “Year in Search.” A mix of high-end and mid-range smart phones topped the list.
Apple's iPhone X and iPhone 8 are the top two most search phones this year, Google said in a statement released Wednesday.
While Chinese brand Huawei bagged the third spot with its Nova 2i smart phone.
“In a way, the Year in Search offers us a glimpse of what we liked as a people, what issues affected us, what sparked our interest, and everything in between that appealed to our emotions the past year,” said Google Philippines head of communications and public affairs Gail Tan.
With iPhone X and iPhone 8 topping the list, it shows that the tech savvy Filipinos aspire to get a hold of the latest in mobile technology despite the phones’ skyrocketing prices.
Chinese brand Oppo has the most number of gadgets on the list with its range of affordable smart phones including Oppo F5, Oppo F1s and Oppo F3.
