OnePlus teases 6th gen 'flagship killer' ahead of unveiling

MANILA - Chinese phone-maker OnePlus is counting down to the launch of its sixth generation "flagship killer" on Wednesday with a rundown of its features.
One confirmed feature of the OnePlus 6 is that it can run a beta build of Android P, Google said last week. One its Twitter account, the Shenzhen-based company said the phone would offer "software designed for you."

In a separate tweet, OnePlus said "The rain never bothered us anyway," hinting at water resistance, a first for its phones. It told users to expect "a spectacle of glass," teasing the handset's build. OnePlus phones have been made mostly out of metal.

The company also posted a slow motion video and said users would soon be able to "capture with speed and clarity."

Slow-motion video recording, improved cameras, and waterproofing are among the headline features of recently launched flagship phones, including the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro and the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+.
OnePlus phones cost roughly half of flagship phones. Past handsets, however, fell behind on features, including water resistance, wireless charging, and stereo speakers.
