SANTA MARIA, California – Three Filipino women were killed after a two-vehicle crash late Friday on the intersection of Stowell and Blosser Roads here.
Through a relative, Balitang America has confirmed that those who lost their lives were Seattle-based Necitas Santa Maria and Texas-based Leonicelle Abaigar and her teenage daughter, Andrea.
The victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
Their cousin, Catleen Dionisio, who was driving the Cadillac Escalade, is recovering in the hospital.
Police reported that the unidentified driver of the Toyota vehicle that crashed into the Escalade was driving recklessly.
They also suspect drugs and or alcohol were factors in the collision.
The driver was brought to the hospital but police could not give an update on his condition.
