MANILA, Philippines - From the channel that gave you Gossip Girl, now comes the new reality show that takes a real look at how the young guys and girls of the Upper East Side really live. NYC Prep premieres June 22 at 8 p.m. on etc. Get to know Jessie, PC, Camille, Kelli, Sebastian and Taylor as you join them as they go about their daily habits around the streets of New York. This month, etc gets so cool for school as it brings you the biggest back-to-school shows on TV.
Leading the bunch is Jessie, a senior in high school who knows what she wants and how to get it. One of the student chairs of the “Operation Smile” junior committee, she lauds her power and status over her peers. Focused on getting in to a fashion university, her frank and unapologetic attitude is sure to cause sparks amongst the NYC Prep circle.
Attractive and wealthy, PC cannot wait for high school to be over. Best friend to Jessie, it is no surprise that his communication skills are brash and fearless. With a taste for partying, PC will stir up drama wherever he is purely for his entertainment. It is only at his weekly sessions with a psychologist that we see his true colors.
Camille is a 17-year old who already has her future planned; now it’s just a matter of getting the grades to fulfill it. Constantly on the lookout for a boyfriend, her high standards can never be met by any of the guys she dates. Thriving on the drama of others, her acid-tongue and witty retorts can get her out of any awkward situation.
Sassy Kelli spends most of her time at home with her brother while her parents live in the Hamptons. You would think that this may lead to non-stop partying but for Kelli she has her mind set on bigger things, her singing career. From auditioning vocal coaches, recording and hiring an image consultant and stylist she will stop at nothing to jump start her career.
The heartthrob of the NYC Prep scene, Sebastian likes girls and they like him. A native French speaker, his surfer good looks gets him more than a few admirers.
