Winn-Dixie announced that they will close the doors to 30 of their 514 stores and lessen their staff as part of a multi-million dollar cost-cutting plan. The company plans to consolidate from four operating regions to three."We continue to operate in a particularly difficult economic and retail environment in the Southeast," Winn-Dixie Chairman, President and CEO Peter Lynch said in a press release.
