MANILA, Philippines - Filipinos trooped to the launch of Kapatid TV5 and Aksyon TV International in San Francisco over the weekend like they were watching a blockbuster movie.
From the banners and t-shirts, the huge crowd of Filipinos in California who lined up to watch the event obviously showed they missed Willie Revillame, host of “Wil Time Bigtime”, who spearheaded the launch at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium.
The Filipinos danced and swayed when Aga Muhlach did an opening number ala concert king.
Many women were also thrilled when hunk Derek Ramsey performed a live song number.
Also on hand were co-hosts Mariel Rodriguez, Camille Villar, Ruffa Gutierrez and superstar Nora Aunor who equally shined during the grand launch.
Kapatid Network bosses who graced the event were TV5 International President Claro Ramirez, TV5 Chief Operating Officer Bobby Barreiro and TV5 Chairman Manny V. Pangilinan.
Viewers in America can now watch TV5's best entertainment and news programs through subscription to Dish Network following the formal signing of the contract between Dish Network and TV5 headed by its chairman Pangilinan last Saturday.
