MANILA, Philippines – “Princess and I” lead stars Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo denied that they were "inseparable" during the recently concluded Star Magic Games.
In an interview with Push.com.ph, Bernardo pointed out that she didn't even watch the basketball game of Padilla.
“Nung nag-basketball siya hindi ko napanood kasi iniinterview din ako,” she defended.
She said she tried to catch the last few minutes of the game.Padilla, for his part, admitted that he tried to impress his “Princess and I” leading lady. He said he attemped to drill a three-pointer but his hands got shaky after he saw Bernardo appear in the audience.
“Masaya po talaga kasi ito ang inaabangan ko this year. Sinalihan ko basketball lang po. Kinabahan ako [nung last few minutes nakahabol siya.] Kabado ako nung nandun siya. Gusto ko magpa-cool pero hindi gumana,” he said.
Meanwhile, Bernardo said they are grateful to Star Magic for hosting such events because they get to enjoy each other’s company outside of work.
“Siyempre ibang-iba 'yung bonding namin dito compared dun sa kapag nasa taping kami ng ‘Princess And I.’ Dito sa sportsfest magchi-cheer kayo. 'Yung mga kaibigan mo makakasama mo. Kulitan lang. Siyempre kapag taping hindi ganon dahil most of the time naka-focus kayo sa paggawa ng eksena,” she said.
