MANILA, Philippines – John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo shared their excitement over their reunion film titled “The Mistress.”
Cruz said the film marks the tenth anniversary of his love team with Alonzo.
“We were actually celebrating ten years of being a tandem at magandang pagkakataon sa amin para ma-celebrate ‘yon,” he told ABS-CBN News during a pictorial for “The Mistress.”
Alonzo, for her part, said: “I immediately said yes lalo na nang malaman ko na ang magdi-direct ay si ‘Inang’ Olivia Lamasan. Dahil alam ko na maganda plus mabusisi. It turned out si John Lloyd pala ‘yung magiging kapareha ko rito.”
Cruz and Alonzo admitted that this will be their first “daring” film.
“Ito na siguro ‘yung pinakamatapang na pelikula na ginawa naming dalawa, pinakamatapang. Ang dami kong ginawa rito na hindi ko pa nagagawa dati. So ‘yun, I must say ito ‘yung transition to a more mature me and John Lloyd,” Alonzo said.
“Daring din ito in an entirely different sense, very mature love story,” said Cruz, who is now being linked to actress Angelica Panganiban.
“Lagi akong inspired,” the actor then replied when asked if he has found his inspiration.
Aside from “The Mistress,” Cruz and Alonzo will also star in ABS-CBN’s upcoming series “A Beautiful Affair.”
