MANILA - Philippine share prices went sideways on Tuesday as the main index slipped 5.84 points to 5,265.94.
The financials, holding firms, as well as mining and oil indices were up while the rest were in the red, led by the property index, which shaved 8.96 points to 2,034.31.
About 1.48 billion shares worth P3.88 billion changed hands, with losers beating decliners 83 to 70, and 43 stocks flat.
Most active were EDC, Alliance Global, Ayala Land, Metrobank and Ayala Corp. Top gainers of the day were led by the Solid Group, F&J Prince Holdings, Araneta Properties, Alcorn Gold, and A. Brown Co.
