Robredo aide leaves Camp Crame

MANILA, Philippines - The aide of the late Interior and Local Government Secretary Jesse Robredo left the Philippine National Police General Hospital over the weekend to spend time with his family.

Senior Superintendent Maria Angela Vidal, director of the PNP Health Services, said Senior Inspector Jun Abrazado was allowed to leave the hospital in Camp Crame last Saturday.

Vidal said Abrazado sought permission to leave and see his family after the police camp experienced frequent brownouts. She said the aide de camp will need to go back for therapy and counseling.

PNP chief Director General Nicanor Bartolome fetched Abrazado from the Philippine General Hospital on Taft Avenue and brought him to Camp Crame last Wednesday. He left the police camp on Saturday.

Abrazado is the lone survivor in the plane crash that killed Robredo and 2 pilots last August 18.

Bartolome earlier said the aide should be allowed to recover fully and air his side after he was allegedly blamed for failing to save Robredo. Report by Edwin Sevidal, radio dzMM
