Walang pasok: Classes suspended Aug 13 Marikina, Hagonoy, some schools

Despite the improved weather, classes in Marikina and Hagonoy, Bulacan and in some schools will be suspended on Monday, August 13.

"[Marikina City Mayor Del De Guzman ordered] no classes in all public schools, preschool to high school, and PLMar [Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Marikina] tomorrow. Classes resume on Tuesday," the Marikina city government said.

Menawhile, according to the Department of Education's Twitter account, Hagonoy, Bulacan also suspended Monday's classes, from kindergarten to high school, in both public and private schools.

In contrast, Valenzuela City said classes in all levels will resume Monday.

Meanwhile, Taguig City said on its Twitter account that, though classes in all levels will resume Monday, classes in these schools will be suspended:

- Tipas Elementary School Annex

- CP Tinga Elementary School

- R Papa High School Main and Annex

- Tipas National High School

- Ususan Elementary School

- Napindan Elementary School

- Tipas Elementary School Main (only Pre-school and Kinder will have no classes)

The National Teachers College in Quiapo, Manila announced that nursery, kindergarten, and pre-school classes are suspended, with classes to resume on Wednesday, August 15. Grade school to high school classes resume Monday, August 13.

Also, La Immaculada Concepcion School in Pasig announced that kindergarten to Grade 5 Monday classes are suspended. Grade 6 to high school classes, meanwhile, will resume August 13, Monday.

Classes in many areas in Metro Manila were suspended last week due to heavy rain and flooding caused by the monsoon. — DVM, GMA News
