MANILA, Philippines –“Princess and I” actor Daniel Padilla said he is glad that his parents are now giving him more freedom whenever he has out-of-town shows.
In an interview with Push.com.ph, Padilla said this only proves that his parents trust him enough.
“Hindi na siya sumasama. Hindi naman talaga siya sumasama, nang-aasar lang siya minsan, ganun (laughs),” he said.
Padilla said he really misses his family because of his hectic work schedule that’s why he always finds time to be with his siblings.
“Mabuti naman kaming lahat. Masaya kami. Oo na-mi-miss ko rin naman mga kapatid ko kaya minsan 'pag nasa bahay, mag-pi-PS3 na lang kami, kahit 'yung mga babae naglalaro na lang din. Bonding na namin 'yun,” he said.
Padilla just got back from the Kapamilya Royals Teleserye Tour 2012 in California. He is currently taping “Princess and I” and he is also set to start shooting “Sisteraka,” which is an entry to the Metro Manila Film Festival.
Asked about his role in the upcoming film, Padilla said: "Hindi ako sure sa roles pero ang alam ko si Kathryn (Bernardo) daw ang anak ni Vice Ganda na ampon lamang. Ako naman anak ni Kris Aquino. 'Yun lang ang alam ko ngayon.”
Speaking of Bernardo, Padilla said he totally understands why the actress’ mother can become overprotective of her.
“Ganun talaga. Ang pangit naman kung hindi binabantayan nung nanay 'yung anak niyang babae. Ano kalalabasan nung anak niya? Kaya mabuti na lang din ganun sila,” he said.
That's why Padilla makes an effort to show that he is sincere about his intentions for Bernardo.
