The New Orleans Saints have agreed to terms on a five-year contract with free-agent cornerback Keenan Lewis, the team announced on Thursday.
Lewis, 26, blossomed into a solid cover man with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Saints also gave Lewis the opportunity to return to his hometown of New Orleans. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Lewis' deal is worth $26 million overall, with $10.5 million guaranteed.
Lewis joins a team that had major struggles in coverage last season. His size at 6-0, 208 pounds is a most welcome asset.
