Scalpers quickly took advantage of the LeBron James fever by peddling tickets for James’ “Witness History” Manila tour through online classified ads.
Just hours after the free tickets were given by Nike Philippines to fans, some of these tickets were being sold for P2,000 to P5,000 each.
Others even offered packages of four tickets for P10,000.
Nike Philippines started giving away tickets for the “Witness History” Manila tour at the Nike Park at the Bonifacio High Street in Taguig Wednesday morning, although fans started lining up as early as Monday night.
James, one of NBA's biggest stars today, will be arriving in Manila on July 23 for a meet and greet with fans and to promote his shoe line.
He recently led the Miami Heat to its second straight NBA title against the San Antonio Spurs.
