In a radio interview on Saturday, deputy presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte said Roxas is merely following President Aquino's orders to make sure that Napoles is secured so she can face illegal detention charges against her and other possible cases.
Valte said the President usually orders his cabinet members to attend to various emergency situations.
These include the Serendra Two and Cagayan de Oro blasts, which were attended to by Roxas, as well as various weather disturbances where Social Welfare Sec. Dinky Soliman provides aid to affected residents.
“This is not out of the ordinary for our Cabinet officials to be on top of a task that the President assigned to them,” she said. -- ANC
