A five-month-old baby died on a luggage conveyor belt of an airport in Alicante, Spain.
Officials could not confirm how the baby ended up on the conveyor belt. But an airport security personnel said the accident happened when the mother put the baby down briefly on the conveyor belt.
Reports say the baby was inside a baby carrier and the weight activated the conveyor belt, trapping the baby in the rollers in the drop zone.
The accident occurred Thursday midnight on the airport's outsized luggage conveyor belt, where large items of luggage are delivered.
