Israeli websites say Philippines is a 'must-visit' destination

MANILA, Philippines - The Philippines is being touted as the next "must-visit" destination for Israelis.

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said four Israeli news and travel companies recently featured the Philippines as a top travel destination on their Hebrew-language websites last month.

The articles highlighted top tourist destinations, particularly Palawan and Boracay which were included in Condé Nast Traveler’s “30 Best Islands in the World” in 2014.

The articles, published on News1, Walla, Terminal and International Air Services, noted the Philippines was becoming a favorite destination among Israelis.

In 2013, the number of Israelis traveling to the country reached 7,675, a 30 percent increase from 5,895 in 2012.
