Jay R's song included in soundtrack of Hollywood film

MANILA - One of the songs of Jay R has been included in the soundtrack of a Hollywood movie.

The country's "Prince of R&B" attended the red carpet premiere of the movie "The Bounce Back" starring Shemar Moore, Bill Bellamy and Nadine Velazquez at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood last December 6.

"L-O-V-E," a song from Jay R's album "Elevated," is part of the movie's soundtrack.

"It's a dream come true for me. Any artist would love to be in a soundtrack that's part of a Hollywood movie," he said.

"This is the first time my music will be part of a Hollywood movie," he added.

When asked how his song caught the attention of Ray Brown, the movie's producer, Jay R said: "I had no idea that they were eyeing my song for the movie. They just saw that 'L-O-V-E' was perfect for the scene in the movie. There wasn't any audition. They just choose and score the movie with music they see fit for the film."

Meanwhile, Jay R said he hopes to do a promotional music video for "The Bounce Back" and record new tunes with his LA-based producers and writers.
