MANILA -- Samsung said Thursday it would unveil on August 9 a new Galaxy phone with a teaser that includes the S-Pen stylus of its flagship Note series.
The South Korean giant is due to announce a successor to 2017's Galaxy Note 8, after the Galaxy S9 and S9+ last March.
The Galaxy Note 9 is rumored to keep the same design as last year's model but with improved internals, camera performance and possibly, a larger battery.
The Note line, which targets power users, is traditionally announced ahead of the Apple's iPhone.
Apple is expected to announce 3 iPhones in September, a successor to the iPhone X, a plus-sized iPhone X and a less expensive model with a 6-inch screen.
