People take photos on the occasion of the Christmas tree and nativity scene lighting ceremony, in St. Peter's Square at the Vatican, Thursday. The 85-foot tall Christmas tree is decorated with energy saving lights in an attempt to reduce its environmental impacts.

LOOK: Unique Christmas tree in Estonia

A unique Christmas tree is keeping the holiday spirit alive in a town in Estonia.

The tree is not made of leaves but out of dozens of colorful old windows.

Light shone through the 12-meter high tree which featured silhouettes of people in some windows.

The cultural manager of the town explained windows are considered the eyes of a building, mirroring what's going on within its walls.
