Walang Pasok: Class suspensions for December 8

MANILA  - Several local government units suspended classes on Monday, December 8, due to the threat posed by typhoon ''Ruby'' (international name: Hagupit).

The Department of Education (DepEd) has also reminded school administrators and students of automatic class suspension guidelines as stipulated in Executive Order No. 66, s. 2012.





STORM SIGNALS

Storm signal number 3 has been hoisted over the following areas. These areas should expect winds of 101 to 185 kph in at least 18 hours.

Masbate, Ticao Island, Sorsogon, Albay including Burias Island, Romblon, Northern Samar and Samar.

 Signal number 2 (winds of 61 to 100 kph in at least 24 hours) is up over the following areas:

Catanduanes, Camarines Sur, Camarines Norte, Southern Quezon, Batangas including Lubang Island, Cavite, Laguna, Oriental Mindoro and Occidental Mindoro. Aklan, Capiz, Northern Cebu including Cebu City, Bantayan Island, Eastern Samar, Biliran, Leyte and Southern Leyte.

 Signal number 1 (winds of 30 to 60 kph in at least 36 hours) remains up over the following areas:

LUZON: Rest of Quezon, Rizal, Pampanga, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Zambales, Bataan, Northern Palawan, Metro Manila, Antique, Iloilo, Rest of Cebu and Bohol, Dinagat Province and Siargao Island.

Class suspensions for Wednesday, July 16


MANILA  - Several local government units have declared class suspensions for Wednesday, July 16, due to typhoon "Glenda."

The following local governments have suspended classes:

Balagtas, Bulacan

Caloocan
Las Pinas City
Laguna
Marikina City
Makati City
Malolos, Bulacan
Mandaluyong City
Manila City
Muntinlupa City
Navotas
Pateros
Paranaque
Pasay City
Quezon City
Valenzuela City
San Juan City
San Mateo, Rizal
Taguig City

Pre-school to highschool (public and private):

Binangonan, Rizal

Schools, colleges and universities

Philippine College of Criminology Classes



Polytechnic University of the Philippines (Metro Manila, Quezon, Laguna, Sto. Tomas, Ragay and Mariveles campuses)

State weather bureau PAGASA said the typhoon is expected to make landfall in Albay-Sorsogon area on Tuesday afternoon.

After making landfall, it will move towards Southern Luzon and Metro Manila, and then exit the Philippine landmass through Zambales area on Wednesday afternoon.

Class suspensions for Thursday and Friday


Several local government units and institutions are suspending classes on Thursday and Friday due to the effects of this week's torrential monsoon rains.

The following areas and institutions suspended classes:

Classes suspended only on Thursday (August 22)
    Cavite (all levels - public and private)
    Dagupan (all levels - public and private)
    Las Piñas (preschool to high school classes; public schools in 1st district only)
    Mandaluyong (preschool to high school – public and private)
    Manila (all levels - public and private)
    Navotas (all levels - public and private)
    Paranaque (all levels - public and private)
    Pasig (pre-school and elementary - public only)
    Taguig (all levels - public only)

 Some cities/municipalities in Bulacan: Malolos City, Meycauayan City, Balagtas, Bulakan, Baliwag (all levels - public and private)

Class suspensions for Tuesday, August 20


Several areas will again suspend classes tomorrow as rains and floods continue to wreak havoc in several areas.

* Cavite Governor Juanito Victor “Jonvic” Remulla said classes will again be suspended in all levels in the province on Tuesday. This was announced on his Facebook and Twitter pages.

Cavite declared a state of calamity on Monday because of incessant rains and heavy flooding. At least two residents there have been killed, while another remains missing.

* Laguna, classes in all levels.

* Paranaque, classes in all levels

* Las Pinas, classes in all levels.

* Bataan, classes in all levels.

* Muntinlupa, classes in all levels.

* Pateros, classes in all levels.

* Dagupan, classes in all levels

* Manila, classes in all levels

* Pasay, pre-school to high school



Schools that have also cancelled classes for Tuesday, August 20, are:
