Sa ulat ni Rida Reyes para sa "Balitanghali" ng GMA News TV, itinanggi ni Eric Quizon, anak ni Dolphy at nagsilbing tagapagsalita ng pamilya, sa isang text message na malubha na umano ang lagay ng kanilang ama.
Ayon kay Eric, positibo pa rin ang pananaw ng kanilang pamilya na tuluyan nang gagaling ang kanilang ama.
Kasalakuyan pa ring nananatili si Dolphy sa loob ng Intensive Care Unit ng Makati Medical Center.
Ayon sa media affairs department ng ospital, nananatiling kritikal ngunit stable pa rin ang kalagayan ng comedy king. Stable na rin umano ang kanyang vital signs matapos ipagpatuloy ang kanyang dialysis noong Biyernes, ayon sa ulat.
Dagdag nito, patuloy pa ring ginagamot ang sakit na pneumonia ni Dolphy. Maayos naman umano ang pagtugon ng katawan ng beteranong aktor sa ginagawang paggamot sa kanya.
Samantala, nagpapasalamat naman ang pamilya Quizon sa mga nagdasal para sa kanilang ama.
Sakaling hindi pa rin makalabas ng ospital si Dolphy pagsapit ng kanyang ika-84 kaarawan sa Hulyo 25, sa ospital lang daw magsasalo-salo ang pamilya Quizon.
Noong nakaraang linggo, dapat ililipat na sa regular room si Dolphy ngunit naantala ang planong ito nang bumalik ang sakit niyang pneumonia. — Mandy Fernandez /LBG, GMA News

Dolphy remains critical but stable
MANILA, Philippines -- King of Comedy Dolphy remains critical but stable as he continues to undergo treatment at the Makati Medical Center (MMC).
"Dolphy's condition remains critical but stable, and his vital organs continue to function well," doctors said in a medical bulletin released by MMC on Friday afternoon.
They added that the Comedy King continues to undergo dialysis sessions and treatment for pneumonia, his twelfth in almost a year.
"Dialysis procedure is being done today, after a very restful day yesterday. Treatment for his pneumonia is also being done, and we are all waiting for results of his response to the treatments," the bulletin read.
Meanwhile, 16 of Dolphy's children are in Manila to be by his side as he remains confined at the MMC's intensive care unit.
“Funny nga, agawan, madami kasi kami. Even Zsa Zsa said every moment now has to be enjoyed. She said that and I was already thinking of that days ago. We are happy,” said Ronnie Quizon, one of Dolphy’s sons.
Despite a prolonged confinement -- he was admitted to the hospital last month -- Dolphy continues to show signs of improvement, according to Quizon.
“There were moments when I said my goodbyes to my dad... everyone had closure but my dad is a fighter. Even the doctor said ‘Fighter talaga si Mang Dolphy,'” he said.

Dolphy hospitalized for almost one month
Birthday celebrations for veteran actor Rodolfo "Dolphy" Quizon will most likely be simple, as the Comedy King has been hospitalized for almost one month.
Earlier, Dolphy's son Eric Quizon said they have no plans for a big celebration. "Usually ‘pag may malaking selebrasyon kami, doon siya nagkakasakit," Eric said in a previous report.
"Definitely, we will have something if he goes back home… We have a reason to celebrate," he added.
Doctors at the Makati Medical Center continue to monitor the condition of the Comedy King, who has pneumonia for the 12th time in the past month.
According to the report, Dolphy remains in critical condition, but is responding well to treatment.
Dolphy underwent dialysis and received blood transfusion on Monday, a previous report said.
Last week, his son Eric Quizon said the doctors may transfer Dolphy to a regular room.

Dolphy cleared of pneumonia but some infections remain, docs say
MANILA, Philippines -- The country's comedy king Rodolfo "Dolphy" V. Quizon Sr. has been cleared of pneumonia, but some infections remain in his system, doctors at Makati Medical Center (MMC) said on Wednesday.
Eric Nubla, director of MMC's Patients Relations Office, said Dolphy had been cleared of pneumonia and showing increasing signs of lucidity.
"He is lucid, he answers back by nodding his head, smiles, raises his eyebrows, lifts his hands minimally, and winces and grimaces. He squeezes family members' hands and tries to mouth words and smile," said Nubla.
Nubla said Dolphy also remained to be in need of blood transfusions.
"He needs blood transfusions, which he gets. As of this time, he is undergoing dialysis," Nubla said.
Dolphy's conditions continued to show improvement, but he was still unable to speak because of tracheostomy procedure he underwent over the weekend, Nubla said.
Dolphy remains confined at the intensive care unit of MMC.
On Tuesday, Dolphy’s health condition improved as it responded to stimulus.
Nubla said the 83-year old comedian also seemed ticklish, which he interpreted as a good sign.
Nubla also said that Dolphy’s family had observed that the comedian had also now become sensitive to pain.
He said Dolphy’s family was much relieved with the developments now happening.
Dolphy, was rushed to the Makati Medical Center last June 9. He was diagnosed to be suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
Meanwhile, Quizon family thanked all who offered prayers to his dad.
Dolphy was suffering from toxic metabolic encephalopathy, a complication of COPD which causes weakness and spasms.

Dolphy in critical condition, says son
MANILA, Philippines - King of Comedy Dolphy is now in critical condition.
In a text message sent to ABS-CBN News, Dolphy's son Eric Quizon appealed for understanding if they can't talk about their father's condition right now.
Eric asked for prayers for his father's recovery.
"Dad is critical at the moment. I hope you understand if I can't talk right now. Will update you later. We need your prayers," Eric texted.
Dolphy was rushed to the Makati Medical Center on June 9 due to pneumonia.
Last Monday, Eric said that his father was finally off his ventilator machine and was only dependent on an oxygen tank.
Eric said his family is grateful for all the prayers that were said for his dad, adding that they were overwhelmed by the amount of moral support their family received.
